You can also donate your time. Commit yourself to pray for the team for their safety, for the people they will encounter, and for God to ultimately use them for His will. Sometimes prayer is worth more than money.
Pastor/Team Leader
The main building for the orphanage is old and worn. The kitchen is a very cramped and tight space for two to cook for 25+ people. Unfortunately, the kitchen also doubles as a bedroom for the younger girls to sleep due to the lack of rooms. Your donations will be used for remodeling the kitchen and general renovations of the building.
Mr. Kim Ho and his wife not only provide food and a safe space for these children, but also send them to school. Education is not free in China, and it costs each child on average $180/year. This covers their education, meals, supplies, and transportation. For all the children at the orphanage to attend school, it equates to a total of $3,600. In addition, for the children who are accepted into universities, Mr. Kim Ho and his wife also provide their college tuition. Your donations will help in supporting their education in hopes that they can pursue their dreams.
The China Team will be holding a Zumbathon session lead by certified instructors Julie Lee and Abby Vander Veer. We ask for $20 donation per person and all proceeds will go to the China Team in supporting a small orphanage in Yanji. Bring your friends and family for a fun and healthy way to support the team.
